I recently went into Currys to purchase a laptop for my son. An assistant offered to 'help' me but then proceeded to try to coerce me into buying laptops that it appears the store just wanted to get rid off. I was lied to about specifications, data storage and a whole host of other things. At one stage he even said 'This one is just what you need and it has twice as much memory as the last one we looked at.' It was clear that this laptop had half the memory!!!!! When I pointed this out he looked embarrassed but continued with his lies to try to get me to buy a laptop. He seemed more interested in me purchasing an older model than one of the new ones. I was really annoyed as I genuinely wanted to purchase a laptop but would not trust Currys again. I ended up walking out of the store.
